Unfortunately, we are in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, and all exhibitions and galleries are closed for the foreseeable future.  I have spent some time in lockdown working on a new reduction linoprint technique and have a couple of examples on my website.  Hope you like them!
Bucks Art Weeks 2020 has been cancelled but the exhibition is going ahead online.  Please visit and see all the wonderful work by a wide range of artists who cannot this year meet all the visitors who usually make this event so successful. (https://www.bucksartweeks.org.uk)

Yosemite 10 colour Reduction Linoprint

January 2020

Reduction Linoprint
Reduction Linoprint
I have just completed two Reduction Linoprints of castles, Scarborough Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle, both inspired by recent visits.  I think this may be the beginnings of a mini project on castles as they are fascinating usually in wonderful locations!
I have been working on a range of screenprint landscapes recently, several of the Wittenham Clumps.  I am enjoying using a more subtle palette at the moment, making more use of extender, which makes a change from the stronger colours I have previously used.

Bucks Open Studios

I am working hard towards Bucks Open Studios next week when I will be exhibiting at 3 venues; Art@Chafor Vineyard, Claydon Estate and Green Dragon Hogshaw.  Everything is nearly ready!

This is one of my new screenprints.  I love the bright yellow of the fields at this time of year.

More screenprints

I am currently working on a range of beach screen prints, and am really enjoying the effects created using screen block and paintbrush!  Looking forward to showing some of my latest work at Art on The Hill at Brill over the weekend of April 16th and 17th. See Art on The Hill website for more details.
